What you'll do

  • Develop manufacturing processes, production floor layouts, and tools to improve product quality and reduce cycle times.
  • Design and implement process improvements for manufacturing equipment to resolve issues related to efficiency, scrap, and quality.
  • Create cost-saving plans including project timelines, vendor quotes, and budget forecasts.
  • Oversee the development, installation, and management of major capital projects.
  • Execute process validations and conduct studies to ensure production capability.
  • Develop machine specifications and manage outside vendors to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Coordinate new product or process start-ups across all operational departments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve recurring equipment problems on the manufacturing floor in support of technicians.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in a related field (preferred).
  • Previous injection molding experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of FDA regulations for medical devices, GMPs, and process validations (asset).
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools (preferred).
  • Understanding and application of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic technologies (preferred).
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and instrumentations (preferred).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific/technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.
