The Principal Engineer, VP will join the engineering team to drive technical excellence by designing, developing, and debugging complex software enhancements within the business and technical problem domains. This role involves modifying core frameworks, providing thought leadership on product architecture, and mentoring senior engineers. Key responsibilities include developing software programs, performing code reviews, writing unit and automation tests, and leading Agile processes like sprint planning and backlog grooming. The candidate must utilize Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, Spring Boot Microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, and RDBMS. What we're looking for
A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field is required.
An MS degree is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working with an Agile development methodology is required.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management is strongly desired.
Experience with Spring Boot Microservices and familiarity with cloud environment service deployment is required.
Knowledge and experience with Kafka, message-based systems, and Kubernetes are required.
Deep expertise in object-oriented programming, RDBMS, low-latency systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices is required.
