What you'll do

Set technology strategy and roadmaps for Digital Imaging platforms across pharmaceutical research and development.
Design and implement scalable, cost-optimized cloud solutions on AWS or Azure for the R&D organization.
Develop generative and agentic AI platforms, including LLM-powered applications and RAG architectures.
Build and operationalize cloud solutions using foundation models with established prompt engineering and AI guardrails.
Drive the technology stack for scheduling, monitoring, deployment, orchestration, and configuration management.
Maintain strong partnerships with business units to identify and assess high-impact technology opportunities.
Provide technical leadership to develop, support, and motivate junior team members.
Incorporate emerging technologies like containerization, serverless, and accelerated AI into business solutions.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Science, or a related field with at least 6 years of industry experience.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Science, or a related field with at least 4 years of industry experience.
Proven ability to lead technology platforms, programs, and projects while applying technical acumen to create new opportunities.
Experience with Python, Java, C++, or related complex programming languages.
Experience with AWS EC2, S3, and container functionality including Docker, Singularity, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
Experience with Windows and Linux platforms, technical vendor management, and working on cross-functional, global teams.
Experience building generative or agentic AI solutions with AWS Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, or similar foundation models (preferred).
Experience with agent frameworks, RAG architectures, GraphQL API implementation, and visualization technologies (preferred).
