What you'll do

  • Execute full cycle PCB design for spacecraft systems including requirements gathering, schematic design, and component selection.
  • Implement high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and low-power designs for space flight hardware.
  • Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities.
  • Establish internal guidelines and best practices for space flight hardware design, testing, and manufacturing.
  • Perform low-level firmware development to support system bring-up and testing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to support production operations and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor the engineering team and lead cross-discipline design reviews.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high ownership of the lifecycle.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Professional experience in hardware product development, including designing space flight hardware.
  • Full understanding of PCB layout techniques for space flight mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Proficiency with E-CAD tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of modern analog/digital electronics, high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and low/medium power designs.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2) and common MCU, CPU, and FPGA technologies.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, Cubesat systems, or cryptographic equipment (preferred).
