As a Principal Edge Architect - Platform, you will lead the Physical AI - Edge Platform Architecture Team to define the architecture strategy for machine autonomy applications. You will own critical decisions regarding compute platforms, input/output interfaces, networking, runtime environments, storage, and monitoring systems. Your daily work involves managing trade-offs between GPU, CPU, memory, power, thermal limits, and reliability to ensure scalable, secure, and serviceable edge platforms across diverse machine types and sensor configurations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in perception, robotics, safety, and cybersecurity to align platform capabilities with autonomy needs. The role requires expertise in NVIDIA Thor, CUDA, TensorRT, and GPU-accelerated inference. You will solve complex problems in construction autonomy by building the infrastructure necessary for machines to perceive environments and make informed decisions in dynamic, real-world industrial settings.

What you'll do

  • Define the overall architecture roadmap for edge platforms supporting machine autonomy applications.
  • Manage technical trade-offs regarding GPU/CPU performance, memory, storage, power, thermal limits, and reliability.
  • Design standard platform configurations for various machine types, sensor packages, and deployment environments.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment between perception, robotics, safety, cybersecurity, and manufacturing teams.
  • Identify hardware and software capability gaps to drive recommendations for supplier engagement and upgrade paths.
  • Oversee the integration of NVIDIA Thor-based compute platforms with networking, storage, and monitoring systems.
  • Develop scalable infrastructure for data logging, transmission, and real-time machine perception.

What we're looking for

  • Expert knowledge of techniques and tools to perform root cause analysis and develop alternative solutions for organizational problems.
  • Expert knowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps for business application systems.
  • Expert knowledge of processes, techniques, and factors affecting data architecture to integrate resources for business processes.
  • Ability to utilize design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements into technical designs.
  • Expert understanding of communication concepts to effectively transmit, receive, and interpret ideas across teams.
  • Expert knowledge of leadership concepts and skills to enlist others in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Strong experience designing edge compute platforms for autonomy, robotics, vehicle systems, industrial machines, or real-time embedded applications (preferred).
  • Experience with NVIDIA edge AI platforms and software ecosystem, including NVIDIA Thor, CUDA, TensorRT, and GPU-accelerated inference (preferred).
