What you'll do

  • Define the overall architecture roadmap for edge platforms supporting machine autonomy applications.
  • Manage technical trade-offs regarding GPU/CPU performance, memory, storage, networking, and power constraints.
  • Align platform capabilities with requirements from perception, robotics, safety, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Establish standard hardware and software configurations for various machine types and sensor packages.
  • Identify technical risks and capability gaps to drive long-term edge compute strategies and supplier engagements.
  • Design scalable systems for real-time data logging, transmission, and monitoring in diverse operating environments.

What we're looking for

  • Expert knowledge of platform architecture techniques to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps for business application systems.
  • Expert knowledge of data architecture processes, tools, and methodologies to integrate resources into technical designs.
  • Expert knowledge of analytical thinking to determine root causes and create solutions for organizational problems.
  • Expert understanding of communication concepts to accurately interpret and transmit information across teams.
  • Expert knowledge of leadership concepts to enlist others in achieving objectives.
  • Experience designing edge compute platforms for autonomy, robotics, vehicle systems, or industrial machines (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of hardware/software tradeoffs including GPU, CPU, memory, storage, networking, latency, power, and thermal limits (preferred).
  • Experience with NVIDIA edge AI platforms and software ecosystem, including NVIDIA Thor, CUDA, and TensorRT (preferred).
