JOB TITLE: Principal Cyber Software Engineer / Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer
The Principal Cyber Software Engineer and Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer roles involve joining a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deploy new enterprise systems while providing ongoing Operations and Maintenance support for existing applications. Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing SQL Server databases, performing DBA tasks, and enhancing a distributed Windows enterprise service bus architecture. The role requires expertise in Agile environments, root-cause analysis, and translating stakeholder requirements into user stories. Design, develop, and deploy new enterprise systems while providing ongoing operations and maintenance support.
Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases by performing routine DBA responsibilities.
Develop and enhance a distributed Windows enterprise service bus (ESB) architecture.
Ensure the stability of high-volume, high-availability MSSQL databases.
Support the architectural design, system implementation, and scaling of technologies to meet mission requirements.
Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable user stories within an Agile development environment.
Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis to resolve complex software defects across the application stack.
What we're looking for
Must currently have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's with 3 years, PhD with 1 year, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree for Principal level.
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's with 6 years, PhD with 4 years, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree for Sr. Principal level.
Demonstrated experience developing applications using C#, .NET Framework, ASP.Net, and Windows Development using Visual Studio.
Significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) including database development and DBA tasks like performance tuning and security configuration.
Strong familiarity and hands-on experience working within Agile development environments.
Experience with modern .NET (.NET 5/6/8+), cloud-ready architectures, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
