Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and develop scalable, elastic distributed systems that support high-throughput and hyper-scale workloads.
• Optimize code and data paths to ensure system performance meets defined service level objectives (SLOs).
• Design fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, failover, and rate-limiting to handle network unreliability.
• Establish telemetry, KPIs, and automated dashboards to proactively monitor system health and identify gaps.
• Conduct complex validation testing, including fault injection and brownouts, to ensure data integrity and correctness.
• Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues while mentoring peers on troubleshooting and incident response.
• Implement robust security controls, encryption, and compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment updates.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Candidates must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Experience is required in designing and architecting scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput workloads.
• Experience is required in implementing fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, failover, and load-shedding techniques.
• Experience is required in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage cloud infrastructure.
• Candidates must be able to design telemetry, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms to monitor system health.
• Experience is required in implementing security controls, encryption, and compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
• Candidates must have the ability to mentor peers and provide guidance during incident response and root cause investigations.
