Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and develop scalable, elastic distributed systems that support high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads.
• Optimize code and data paths to ensure system performance meets defined service level objectives (SLOs).
• Design fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, failover mechanisms, and rate-limiting to handle network unreliability.
• Establish KPIs and build custom dashboards and telemetry systems to proactively monitor system health.
• Conduct complex validation testing, including fault injection and brownouts, to ensure data integrity and correctness.
• Proactively diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues while mentoring peers in incident response.
• Implement robust security controls, encryption, and compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment cycles.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Candidates must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Experience is required in designing and architecting scalable, elastic distributed systems for high-throughput workloads.
• Experience is required in implementing fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Experience is required in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts to manage cloud infrastructure.
• Candidates must be able to perform proactive troubleshooting, incident management, and mentor peers in technical processes.
• Experience is required in implementing security controls, encryption, and maintaining compliance documentation for multi-tenant environments.
