Principal Classified Systems Architect

What you'll do

• Define and evolve the architecture for SIPR/JWICS environments aligned with DoD reference designs.
• Design scalable infrastructure-as-code blueprints for air-gapped environments including cross-domain solutions and patch management.
• Translate complex compliance controls like DISA STIGs and RMF into automated technical implementations.
• Select and integrate "High Side" tools and technologies that prioritize security and developer experience.
• Review and approve architectural changes to ensure no operational drift occurs across the classified boundary.
• Establish technical strategies for high-side observability and continuous monitoring to satisfy strict auditing requirements.

What we're looking for

• Must have 12+ years of experience in systems architecture or DevSecOps engineering.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience focused on DoD Classified environments (IL6/Secret or higher).
• Requires deep expertise in the DoD software ecosystem, specifically Platform One, Cloud One, Big Bang, and Iron Bank.
• Requires proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS/RKE2) and container orchestration within air-gapped environments.
• Must have experience architecting solutions for DoD CC SRG IL6, NIST 800-53, and FIPS 140-3 standards.
• Requires proven experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and secure data transfer between Low Side and High Side networks.
• Requires experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) in legacy or restrictive network environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
