Principal/Senior Principal Computer Systems Architect

What you'll do

• Propose, design, and implement the hardware baseline for multiple compute environments.
• Develop the engineering bill of materials (BOM) and labor basis of estimates (BOE) for proposals.
• Establish project roadmaps, execution timelines, and technical leadership within the Compute Integrated Product Team.
• Oversee the development of component specifications, procurement requirements, and the engineering technical baseline.
• Define system specifications, input/output processes, and hardware/software compatibility parameters.
• Coordinate the design of compute subsystems and the integration of the total system.
• Identify and resolve program support deficiencies while developing recommended corrective actions.
• Brief Northrop Grumman and Space Force leadership on program progress and technical status.

What we're looking for

• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain SCI approval.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Principal level requires 5 years of experience with a BS, 3 years with an MS, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Sr. Principal level requires 8 years of experience with a BS, 6 years with an MS, or 2 years with a PhD.
• Experience with the proposal development process, labor BOEs, and material BOMs.
• Experience with Cost Plus and Fixed Price contracts.
• Experience with requirements decomposition down to hardware subsystem and component level specifications.
• Experience designing and maintaining computer system environments running RedHat Linux.
• Familiarity with commercial hardware components, Atlassian tools, and Model Based Systems Engineering principles.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
• Familiar with HPE High Performance Computing platforms (preferred).
• Familiar with computer virtualization and VMware products (preferred).
• Experience with network design, configuration, and management (preferred).
• RedHat, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or VMware certifications (preferred).
• Experience working within CAMEO (preferred).
