Principal Architect

What you'll do

• Define and create roadmaps, architectures, standards, and starter code to accelerate technology delivery.
• Design future state architectures for AI, APIs, data stores, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
• Evaluate market trends to make informed buy vs. build decisions regarding business outcomes.
• Develop frameworks that promote reuse, reduce costs, manage risk, and increase speed to market.
• Consult with partners to optimize business applications using modern architecture and technologies.
• Ensure all non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, and security are met by delivered products.
• Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to engineers regarding application design and architecture.
• Lead high-level estimations and advocate for architectural improvements across the organization.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of relevant work experience including at least 8 years in architecture.
• 10+ years of experience building large scale business applications using modern technologies and architecture.
• 10+ years of experience designing complex integrations with a focus on performance engineering, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• 8+ years of experience and proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• 6+ years of experience facilitating implementation of north star architectures through mentoring, building POCs, and providing starter code.
• Expert-level understanding of architectural methodologies, best practices, business climate, and relevant regulations.
• Deep technical expertise in AI/ML, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and hybrid solutions at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
