Presales Systems Engineer - 2027 Internship The Presales Systems Engineer Intern joins the Presales Engineering Group within the U.S. Federal Government Markets Division to serve as a technical solution architect for sales support engagements. Working alongside sales, service, and engineering teams, this intern takes ownership of technical designs to address communication and situational awareness challenges. Daily responsibilities include customer requirements discovery, technology strategy development, end-to-end system architecture design, proposal development, and conducting equipment and software demos. The role focuses on mission-critical technologies including public safety grade mobile voice and data networks, advanced mobile devices, broadband networks, and integrated command and control systems like Next Generation 9-1-1 Dispatch Consoles. Candidates should possess knowledge of IT network and computer architecture, wireless communications fundamentals such as APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, and 4G/5G, along with strong technical and non-technical communication skills.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • General knowledge of IT network and computer architecture.
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for presenting complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • General knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures (preferred).
