Presales Solutions Architect - Security Operations serves as a subject matter expert for security operations center design and optimization within the SecOps practice. This role involves split responsibilities between presales client engagements and internal practice development. On the presales side, you will lead technical discovery sessions to assess maturity, design target-state architectures, and deliver demonstrations or proofs of concept. Internally, you will build reusable collateral like reference architectures and battle cards while evaluating new vendor partnerships. You will work with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, and threat intelligence platforms to solve problems involving alert triage, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, and automated response playbooks. Required skills include proficiency in Python, PowerShell, KQL, or SPL, along with expertise in infrastructure components like firewalls and load balancers to develop comprehensive technical solutions for enterprise security environments.
Lead technical discovery sessions to assess client security operations maturity across detection, response, and automation capabilities.
Design target-state SOC architectures including SIEM/SOAR systems, EDR/XDR strategies, and incident response workflows.
Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations for enterprise security solutions.
Translate complex SecOps concepts into business-relevant value propositions for both technical and executive audiences.
Develop internal practice collateral such as reference architectures, battle cards, and competitive analysis reports.
Evaluate and qualify new vendor technologies to provide recommendations on partner adoption and platform consolidation.
Conduct internal enablement sessions for sales and engineering teams regarding emerging threats and product updates.
Identify new security operations opportunities to drive revenue growth within the presales team.
What we're looking for
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in security operations, SOC architecture, or security engineering roles with hands-on SIEM/SOAR/EDR/XDR design and implementation.
Demonstrated experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within the cybersecurity domain.
Ability to design and build robust security operations architectures using enterprise platforms and infrastructure.
Deep understanding of SOC operational workflows including triage processes, incident response runbooks, and threat hunting methodologies.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, KQL, or SPL for detection rules and integration workflows.
Ability to translate complex SecOps concepts into business-relevant value propositions for technical and executive audiences.
Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SANS GIAC, CEH, or vendor-specific SIEM certifications.
