The Presales Solutions Architect - Cloud Security joins the ASG team as a subject matter expert on cloud security architecture and cloud-native security controls. This role involves splitting time between presales client engagements and internal practice development. Responsibilities include leading technical discovery sessions, designing target-state architectures, and delivering product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts. You will build reusable collateral like reference architectures and battle cards while evaluating new vendor partnerships. Key technologies and skills include CNAPP platforms, CSPM/CWPP tools, cloud identity security, SIEM/SOAR integrations, and infrastructure-as-code security scanning. You will solve complex problems regarding shared responsibility models, misconfiguration risks, and lateral movement in multi-cloud environments. The role requires proficiency in scripting, programming languages, and managing infrastructure components like firewalls, load balancers, and hypervisors.
Lead technical discovery sessions to assess client cloud security maturity across major cloud platforms.
Design target-state cloud security architectures including zero trust, workload protection, and secrets management.
Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations for cloud security solutions.
Translate complex cloud security concepts into business-relevant value propositions for technical and executive audiences.
Develop internal practice collateral such as reference architectures, battle cards, and vendor evaluation frameworks.
Evaluate and qualify new cloud security vendor technologies and make recommendations on partner adoption.
Conduct internal enablement sessions for engineering and sales teams on emerging threats and best practices.
Develop detailed Statements of Work to drive revenue growth through professional services engagements.
What we're looking for
Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
At least 3 years of experience focused on cloud security architecture, cloud infrastructure security, or cloud-native security engineering.
Demonstrated experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within the cybersecurity or cloud security domain.
Hands-on experience designing and securing environments in one or more major cloud platforms.
Experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or industry professional groups on cloud security topics.
Willingness to travel occasionally up to 20%.
One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, CISM, cloud platform security certifications, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SANS GIAC, or CEH (preferred); ITIL Foundation or ITIL Specialist (preferred).
