PM Onboarding & Readiness Associate

What you'll do

• Manage pre-launch intake logistics and track milestone status for incoming portfolio managers and trading teams.
• Track blockers to closure and escalate aging items with necessary context to leadership.
• Produce clear readiness reporting and visualize KPI data for leadership action.
• Maintain access, entitlement, and training checklists to ensure technology readiness before go-live.
• Create and maintain runbooks, process documentation, and support taxonomies.
• Coordinate cross-functional handoff checklists to transition new teams into ongoing support.
• Identify recurring gaps and propose process improvements to automate manual workflows.

What we're looking for

• Must have 2–5 years of experience in an early-career role with a strong trajectory.
• Financial services exposure is required; buy-side experience is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across technical and business stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset to take initiative and drive items to closure without task-by-task direction.
• Structured problem-solving skills to break down ambiguous, cross-functional problems into root causes.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work with data in Excel or BI tools.
• Strong writing skills for producing process documentation, runbooks, and reporting.
• Must be based in New York and able to work in office.
• Exposure to hedge-fund or front-office operations, or PM/trader support (preferred).
• Familiarity with onboarding, project coordination, or service/support operations (preferred).
• Willingness to learn light Python/SQL for pipeline tooling (preferred).
• Experience building or maintaining process documentation, taxonomies, or KPI reporting (preferred).
• Experience using AI and LLM tools to automate tasks (preferred).
