Platform Consultant, Product Security

What you'll do

• Act as a strategic consultant to engineering teams to guide secure platform design and implementation across various product domains.
• Embed "secure-by-design" principles and rigorous threat modeling into the early stages of the development lifecycle.
• Communicate the organization's security posture and technical recommendations clearly to both technical teams and senior leadership.
• Lead the creation and implementation of innovative security controls to improve enterprise-wide security maturity.
• Mentor engineers in systems thinking, reusable design, and modern engineering practices like Zero Trust architecture.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance platform reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Influence cross-functional teams through architectural reviews, discovery sessions, and strategic planning.
• Enforce architectural standards and promote code reuse across the enterprise to ensure scalable and resilient systems.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, platform development, or architecture roles.
• Must demonstrate success as a technical advisor and mentor for multiple engineering teams in complex environments.
• Requires expert knowledge of Agile/XP and DevOps methodologies, including TDD and CI/CD automation.
• Requires hands-on expertise in architecting large-scale distributed systems using cloud-native microservices on Docker or Kubernetes.
• Must be proficient in Java and JavaScript ecosystems along with modern development tools like Git and Spring Boot.
• Requires deep knowledge of security architecture, including threat modeling, Zero Trust, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Requires proficiency in web/API security standards such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and OAuth 2.0.
• Must possess strong communication skills to convey complex technical and security concepts to both engineers and senior leadership.
