The individual will translate operational intent into enterprise-scale designs, ensuring interoperability between AI systems, data platforms, and tools while creating "paved roads" for safe adoption. Key responsibilities include managing data lineage, establishing API standards, and leading build versus buy decisions. Required skills include expertise in Java, JavaScript, Go, Rust, or C; experience with Spring Boot, Git, and RESTful APIs; and proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. The role addresses the challenge of reducing fragmentation in security operations through unified platform engineering.

What you'll do

Define architecture patterns, integration standards, and data models across AI, security data, and tooling platforms.
Ensure high-quality, structured data is available for AI systems with clear lineage and consistency.
Establish governance standards for safe AI usage, including explainability and auditability.
Design unified integrations to ensure security tools produce consistent, AI-ready data.
Build "paved roads" by creating scalable, reusable solutions as the default path for adoption.
Lead build versus buy decisions to ensure platform solutions are scalable and secure.
Drive cross-functional alignment between engineering teams to reduce fragmentation and promote reuse.

What we're looking for

Minimum of 5 years software engineering experience in at least three programming paradigms including object-oriented, procedural/systems, and functional.
Proficiency in Java and JavaScript is required for the role.
Experience using modern development tools like IntelliJ or VS Code, Git/GitHub, and Spring Boot.
Ability to design robust RESTful APIs.
Minimum of 3 years experience architecting large-scale distributed systems such as cloud-native microservices on Docker/Kubernetes in AWS or Azure environments.
Proven success as a high-impact technical advisor capable of influencing architecture and mentoring engineers.
Expert knowledge of Agile/XP and DevOps methodologies, including TDD and CI/CD automation.
Candidates must successfully pass a background investigation.
