The Platform Consultant — Cyber Platforms, Data, & Tooling joins the Cyber Operations & Platforms team to build and operate a cohesive, scalable Security Operations platform ecosystem. This role involves defining architecture patterns, integration standards, and ecosystem strategies across AI platforms, security data, and tooling. You will translate operational intent into enterprise-scale designs, ensuring interoperability between systems while creating "paved roads" for safe adoption. Key responsibilities include establishing APIs, data models, and security controls while ensuring high-quality data for AI readiness. You will utilize Java, JavaScript, and other programming paradigms alongside tools like Git, Spring Boot, and Docker/Kubernetes on AWS or Azure. The role solves the technical challenge of minimizing fragmentation and maximizing reuse within a unified platform to enable intelligence-driven cyber operations by design.
Define architecture patterns, integration standards, and APIs across AI, data, and security tooling.
Establish data models, security controls, and observability requirements for the security operations platform.
Ensure high-quality, structured data for AI by managing lineage, consistency, and readiness.
Set standards for safe AI use, including explainability, auditability, and controlled actions.
Design unified integrations to ensure security tools produce consistent, AI-ready data.
Build scalable, reusable solutions as "paved roads" to drive standardization and reduce duplication.
Lead build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions to ensure scalable and governance-driven solutions.
Influence cross-functional teams to drive platform alignment, simplification, and consistency.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years software engineering experience in object-oriented, procedural/systems, and functional programming paradigms.
Proficiency in Java and JavaScript is required along with at least one other programming language.
Experience using modern development tools including IntelliJ, VS Code, Git/GitHub, and Spring Boot.
Experience designing robust RESTful APIs.
Minimum of 3 years hands-on expertise in architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems like cloud-native microservices on Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience deploying on modern cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Proven success as a technical advisor and mentor with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
Expert level knowledge of Agile/XP and DevOps methodologies, including TDD and CI/CD automation.
