As a Platform Consultant at Allstate Cyber Operations & Platforms, you will join a dynamic Digital Product Team responsible for building and operating a cohesive Security Operations platform ecosystem. Your role involves defining architecture patterns, integration standards, and ecosystem strategy across AI platforms, security data, and tooling to ensure interoperability and minimize fragmentation. You will work on translating operational intent into enterprise-scale platform design, ensuring high-quality structured data for AI systems while setting standards for safe AI use. Additionally, you will lead the development of scalable, reusable solutions as default “paved roads” and drive standardization across teams. The role requires expertise in multiple programming paradigms including Java, JavaScript, Go, Rust, C, F#, Elixir, Clojure, Haskell, proficiency with modern development tools like IntelliJ or VS Code, Git/GitHub, Spring Boot, and experience with cloud-native microservices on Docker/Kubernetes. Ideal candidates will have a background in agentic AI platforms, security operations ecosystems, telemetry systems, data lineage frameworks, and tooling integration.

What you'll do

  • Define architecture patterns and integration standards across AI platforms, data, and tooling.
  • Ensure high-quality structured data for AI systems with lineage and consistency.
  • Design unified integrations to produce consistent, high-quality, AI-ready data.
  • Build scalable, reusable solutions as default ("paved roads") for adoption.
  • Lead decisions on build vs. buy vs. integrate strategies for platform components.
  • Partner across teams to align security operations platforms and drive standardization.
  • Influence teams to simplify processes, enhance reuse, and maintain consistency.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in multiple programming paradigms including Java, JavaScript, and at least one other language.
  • Expertise in architecting large-scale distributed systems using cloud-native microservices on Docker/Kubernetes with modern cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence architecture direction as a high-impact technical advisor to engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success in Agile/XP methodologies, paired programming, TDD, and CI/CD automation practices.
  • Experience using modern development tools such as IntelliJ, VS Code, Git/GitHub, Spring Boot, and designing robust RESTful APIs.
