Software Engineer, Product Security Data Platforms

What you'll do

• Architect and implement high-availability pipelines to process millions of events per second into structured security telemetry.
• Develop API-first services and streaming APIs for enterprise customers to ingest security signals into their internal tools.
• Build logic to identify anomalous behavior and surface high-fidelity security insights in partnership with threat experts.
• Lead the technical roadmap regarding data modeling, storage strategies, and abstraction layers for future products.
• Ensure system resilience and operational maturity for services requiring 99.99%+ availability.
• Design and maintain large-scale distributed systems using technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Draft technical design documents and mentor other engineers on code quality and system architecture.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of professional software development experience shipping and maintaining complex, large-scale systems.
• Expertise in data engineering and distributed systems, including high-throughput data pipelines using technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Strong programming fundamentals with significant experience in Java, C++, or Rust.
• Proven track record in system design leadership for robust, scalable architectures and leading cross-team initiatives.
• Experience maintaining business-critical services with high availability requirements, on-call rotations, and a focus on observability.
• Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to mentor engineers while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Security domain knowledge, including experience building security analytics or threat detection systems (preferred).
• Experience in platform engineering, cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform), or front-end technologies like React and TypeScript (preferred).
