Platform Architect, Cloud Security joins the Cloud Infrastructure and Operations group within the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team. This role focuses on building out infrastructure and operations products while developing technical frameworks, models, and standards for cloud security. The architect will participate in build discussions to produce requirements, translate secure framework requirements into actionable cloud-based requirements, and define security reference architectures aligned with company policies. Key responsibilities include managing the adaptation of cloud strategies and identifying strengths or weaknesses in various solutions. The role requires expertise in GCP, Infrastructure as a Service, Serverless Architecture, Container Architecture, Platform as a Service, Storage, Infrastructure as Code, and Identity and Access Management. Candidates must possess skills in cryptography, data protection, governance, risk management, infrastructure security, logging, monitoring, incident response, threat management, application security, and DevOps pipeline governance.
Translate secure framework requirements into actionable cloud-based requirements that meet company policies and standards.
Define and continuously improve security reference architectures in alignment with corporate standards.
Apply native cloud computing security measures during the architecture build process.
Participate in architecture and build discussions to produce technical requirements.
Interpret requirements in a manner that promotes system re-use and maintainability.
Contribute to and manage the adaptation of the company's cloud strategy.
Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions using logic and reasoning.
Present complex, technical topics in an actionable manner to senior leadership.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with equivalent experience.
Must have at least 2 years of experience as an engineer or architect on Google Cloud Platform.
Must have over 3 years of experience as an engineer or architect collaborating with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Strong knowledge of cloud solution architecture within GCP is required.
Proven expertise in implementing secure architectures is required.
Extensive knowledge of cloud concepts including IaaS, Serverless, Containers, PaaS, Storage, IaC, and IAM is required.
Must have technical understanding in four or more and skill in seven or more specific security fields such as cryptography, data protection, and identity management.
Certified GCP Cloud Architect or willing to acquire it within 6 months; professional-level cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure) are preferred.
