What you'll do

Design and produce actionable architecture and security design artifacts for cloud solutions.
Identify cloud security risks across AWS, Azure, and GCP and design pragmatic mitigation strategies.
Partner with engineering teams to validate secure network, compute, container, and serverless architectures.
Provide hands-on IAM guidance to ensure least-privilege access models are implemented across cloud environments.
Review AI/ML workloads to advise development teams on secure design patterns and data protection.
Evaluate cloud security vendors and tools, including CSPM/CNAPP platforms, for technical fit.
Develop and maintain cloud security documentation, including architectural standards and configuration guidelines.
Automate security processes end-to-end and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for

Must work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) out of the DC or Silver Spring office.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience with 6-8 years.
Proven experience designing, building, and securing AWS-based cloud environments with meaningful hands-on experience in Azure.
Exposure to GCP is a plus (preferred).
Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Node.js.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
One or more current cloud provider certifications or industry-recognized security certifications like CISSP or CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
