What you'll do

  • Lead and execute plasma etch system projects involving mechanical, electrical, physics, and control system components.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to apply broad knowledge of etch systems to novel architectures.
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of engineering programs within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop long-range plans and product-specific strategies to meet organizational goals and technical specifications.
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) productivity enablement and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) readiness.
  • Define performance metrics and report on the progress of engineering functions against specific goals.
  • Resolve complex technical and business problems using advanced analytical thought and root cause analysis.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to resolve issues regarding product engineering.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8 to 12+ years of experience with etch systems in the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Expertise in plasma etch systems including mechanical, electrical, physics, and control system components.
  • Ability to lead and manage engineering teams through subordinate managers.
  • Advanced analytical skills to resolve complex technical and business problems using root cause analysis.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives and external organizations.
  • Willingness to work off-hours to support critical activities in different time zones.
