Product Engineer IV, Etch ESC Product Development

What you'll do

• Manage new product introduction and production support from inception through customer support.
• Develop and modify hardware designs for electrostatic chucks (ESCs) and supporting equipment.
• Define engineering specifications based on process and customer requirements for ESC subsystems.
• Establish testing requirements for production-readiness and define the process of record at suppliers.
• Analyze test data to determine hardware limitations and assess risks of field failure.
• Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Lead a team of engineers and lab personnel to deliver wafer requirements for next-generation hardware.

What we're looking for

• Ph.D. in materials science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field is highly desired.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with a Ph.D., 3–6 years with a Master’s degree, or 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in semiconductor or product design.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining capital equipment test apparatus.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or other similar scientific computing languages.
• Fundamental understanding of heat transfer, mass transfer, vacuum pressure and flow, thermodynamics, and basic mechanics of materials.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience designing and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, or aerospace hardware and tools is beneficial.
