Physical Design Engineer

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will join the hardware team to manage graphics projects from start to end for clock implementation involving multiple clock domains. Your daily responsibilities include designing high-speed clock distribution circuits, performing clock planning, and building simulation models using Spice. You will collaborate with floorplan owners to address power domain, routing, and placement challenges while conducting studies on clock repeaters, buffer sizes, fanout, and metal specifications. The role requires you to define custom clock cell families for specific process technologies and optimize trees to minimize latency and skew. You must also debug physical design verification issues such as DRC, LVS, shorts, and opens. Key technical requirements include expertise in signal integrity, timing optimization, and managing complex distribution networks across various process technologies to ensure reliable performance.
