PageWide Web Press Finishing Solutions Engineer
The PageWide Web Press Finishing Solutions Engineer manages the integration, deployment, and lifecycle support of third-party finishing solutions with HP PageWide Web press platforms. This role involves managing technical relationships with external partners to oversee joint projects, while leading the technical integration of equipment in both nearline and offline configurations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining interface requirements for electrical, controls, and safety systems, developing integration documentation and bills of material, and providing onsite troubleshooting during customer installations. The role requires expertise in systems development for industrial production equipment, translating complex requirements into technical designs, and basic coding and scripting skills. Manage technical relationships and joint projects with key external finishing partners.
Lead the technical integration of third-party finishing equipment with HP PageWide Web presses.
Define, review, and validate electrical, control, safety, and connectivity requirements for system interfaces.
Translate customer and system requirements into robust integration designs and subsystems.
Develop and maintain integration documentation, interface control information, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Provide onsite troubleshooting and support for customer installations, upgrades, and design changes.
Resolve Tier-4 escalations by working with R&D to drive root cause analysis and deployment planning.
Identify risks and opportunities to improve solution quality and reliability across global regions.
What we're looking for
A four-year or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
4 to 7 years of experience in electrical design and tools, software packages, or electronic hardware architecture (or an advanced degree with 3-5 years).
Strong experience in systems development involving industrial or production equipment.
Experience translating requirements into technical designs and integrated subsystems.
Demonstrated project management skills with a focus on execution and delivery.
Basic coding and scripting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with international partners.
Experience with digital inkjet printing, web-based finishing equipment, or HP PageWide Web platforms (preferred).
