What you'll do

  • Define technical components for delivering video and audio content on the web.

  • Improve global media performance by collaborating with client and platform engineering teams.

  • Establish developer standards and mentor junior engineers on technical expertise.

What we're looking for

  • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.
  • Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, and Thrift to design and implement maintainable APIs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating in a remote environment with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep product thinking and experience bridging technical streaming metrics with user-facing features (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HLS, MPEG-DASH, MP4, video compression standards, and background data fetching (preferred).
