Adobe Firefly’s Generative AI Services team is hiring a Principal Service Engineer to lead a talented engineering team in developing scalable, high-performance generative AI systems for Adobe products like Firefly, Photoshop, and Illustrator. This hands-on technical leader will design APIs and integrate both proprietary and third-party models, addressing complex engineering challenges while mentoring engineers and driving the adoption of MLOps technologies. The role involves evaluating emerging tech trends, guiding architecture and implementation best practices, and establishing DevOps processes for large-scale deployments. Ideal candidates have a deep background in model serving, orchestration, GPU resource management, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and generative AI architectures such as diffusion models and transformers.
Lead development and scaling of core GenAI services and APIs integrating diverse generative models into Adobe products.
Design and architect enterprise-scale inference infrastructure for model customization, serving, and ecosystem integration.
Provide hands-on technical leadership by guiding engineers through architecture, design, implementation, and best practices.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging MLOps technologies to enhance engineering velocity, scalability, and performance.
Lead the development of DevOps processes and tooling necessary for scaling infrastructure and services.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience building and operating production-scale systems.
3+ years leading large-scale, GPU-intensive generative AI workloads.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams on complex initiatives.
Deep expertise in model serving, orchestration, and GPU resource management.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and MLOps platforms.
MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience required.
