PageWide Web Press Controls Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and maintain PLC-based control systems using modular, reusable, and configuration-driven architectures.
• Develop HMI interfaces for machine monitoring, alarm visualization, and recipe management.
• Configure and commission motion systems, drives, and industrial communication protocols like PROFINET or EtherNet/IP.
• Design and validate machine safety solutions in compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Commission machines in factory and customer environments while performing FAT and SAT testing.
• Diagnose and resolve complex control system, motion, and HMI issues during field operations.
• Optimize system performance using diagnostics, logging, and data analysis to improve throughput and quality.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in industrial automation, machine controls, or PLC software development.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation if holding an advanced degree.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming with a preference for Structured Text.
• Experience with motion control, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols like PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and OPC UA.
• Expertise in HMI development, including alarm visualization, user roles, and recipe management.
• Experience designing and implementing machine safety solutions in compliance with applicable standards.
• Preferred experience with B&R Automation Studio, mapp Technology, and high-speed web-handling equipment.
