You will interpret OPTN policies, oversee membership compliance, and lead safety event analyses including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes. The position involves developing best practice guidance, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and designing data-driven workflows to improve transparency in the transplant ecosystem. Required competencies include expertise in organ allocation frameworks, federal regulatory programs, and clinical or administrative experience within a Transplant Center or Organ Procurement Organization. You will utilize skills in action planning, research, and translating complex performance metrics into executive-level briefings to ensure patient safety and network performance.

What you'll do

  • Interpret OPTN policies and bylaws to ensure consistent operations across the network.
  • Advise HRSA on policy development by evaluating proposed changes for regulatory compliance and impact.
  • Lead safety event analysis, including report triage and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation.
  • Develop best practice guidance and innovative processes to mitigate risks within the transplant ecosystem.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for stakeholder inquiries from OPOs and transplant programs.
  • Facilitate workshops with volunteers and HRSA representatives to identify and implement workflow improvements.
  • Monitor member compliance with federal requirements and support audits and corrective action planning.
  • Analyze performance metrics and quality indicators to support strategic initiatives regarding equity and network performance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, or Policy with over 20 years of experience.
  • Master's degree preferred with 15+ years of experience.
  • Deep expertise in OPTN policies, bylaws, and organ allocation frameworks.
  • Extensive experience supporting federal regulatory programs (direct experience with HRSA preferred).
  • Direct clinical or administrative experience within a Transplant Center, Organ Procurement Organization, or an Organ Center.
  • Advanced knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA processes, and patient safety reporting.
  • Ability to translate complex policy and performance data into executive-level briefings and strategic recommendations.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and meet agency residency requirements.
