What you'll do

Perform opto-mechanical design and layout trade studies for satellite optical communication payloads.
Execute design validation testing in various environments to verify performance capabilities.

Generate detailed designs via CAD systems with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Interact directly with customers to translate technical requirements into robust solutions.

What we're looking for

BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
At least 2 years of experience as an opto-mechanical engineer.
Understanding of structural, thermal, and optical (STOP) analysis.
Experience with space-based and ground-based opto-mechanical design.
Ability to perform detailed designs using CAD systems and GD&T.
Capability to generate well-written technical documentation and reports.
US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
