What you'll do

Create concept designs for opto-mechanical hardware and fixtures using NX CAD.
Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T to create fully toleranced drawing packages.
Build, assemble, and integrate prototype hardware and sub-assemblies in a lab environment.
Plan and execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) campaigns for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
Execute structured Designs of Experiments (DOE) to characterize hardware performance and generate data-driven recommendations.
Analyze test results to identify root causes and drive corrective actions for design iterations.
Manage design data, revision control, and documentation within the TeamCenter PLM system.

What we're looking for

BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems.
Experience with NX CAD for part modeling, assembly modeling, and drawing creation.
Hands-on experience with hardware integration, assembly, and test execution in a lab environment.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to create fully toleranced drawing packages.
Familiarity with subtractive machining and additive manufacturing processes for rapid prototyping.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status.
