What you'll do

Apply DFMA principles to electrical system designs including circuit boards, wire harnesses, and avionics assemblies.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for soldering, crimping, potting, and conformal coating.
Create work instructions, process documentation, and quality control procedures for electrical assembly operations.
Conduct design reviews to identify manufacturability issues in electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and harness designs.
Implement automated testing solutions for functional tests, continuity checks, and hi-pot testing.
Manage manufacturing BOMs, routings in the MES, and cycle time standards.
Program and network assembly equipment using programmable logic controllers and common protocols.
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical assembly defects and test anomalies.

What we're looking for

Requires 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience with prototyping and implementation is required.
Expertise in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) for electrical systems and components.
Knowledge of aerospace electrical standards including AS9100, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Ability to develop manufacturing processes for soldering, crimping, potting, and conformal coating.
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume is preferred.
Knowledge of programmable logic controller networking and programming through common protocols.
