Cloud Solution Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and demonstrate genomic analysis workflows for variant calling, RNA-seq, and single-cell analysis.
• Develop computational solutions for functional genomics research, including CRISPR screen analysis and therapeutic target identification.
• Evaluate AI/ML approaches for variant prioritization, multi-omics integration, and biomarker discovery.
• Build reproducible pipelines using Python or R with workflow orchestration, containers, and version control.
• Architect OCI cloud platforms for CPU/GPU computing, storage, and networking to benchmark accelerated genomics.
• Establish model evaluation protocols to ensure data provenance, reproducibility, and control for data leakage.
• Lead customer workshops and proofs of concept to communicate architecture tradeoffs and production costs.

What we're looking for

• Eight or more years of relevant technical experience in bioinformatics, computational genomics, scientific computing, cloud engineering, or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to build and troubleshoot genomic analysis workflows with a strong understanding of sequencing data and biological interpretation.
• Strong programming skills in Python and working proficiency in R or an equivalent scientific computing language.
• Experience with Linux, Git, containers, and workflow tools such as Nextflow, WDL/Cromwell, or Snakemake.
• Practical experience developing, evaluating, or deploying machine learning models for biological or complex scientific datasets using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Experience designing cloud or high-performance computing solutions, including compute/storage sizing, workflow scheduling, security, and cost management.
• Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to translate complex scientific requirements into actionable business recommendations.
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent domestically and internationally.
