The NPI PCB Technical Program Manager joins the OPS Quick Turn PCB Engineering Service Team to lead complex, cross-functional NPI PCB programs from concept to production. This role involves managing end-to-end technical program management for advanced PCB builds, including high-density-interconnect and high-layer-count designs. Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, product leaders, and supplier R&D teams to manage stack-up reviews, DFM, fabrication, and delivery. The position requires driving technical decision-making on trade-offs regarding schedule, cost, yield, and development risk. Candidates must possess technical proficiency in PCB manufacturing fundamentals like CCL, prepreg, and impedance. Required tools and skills include SAP PRD, PDP, Windchill, and experience with SI/PI or DFM trade-offs. The role solves critical path issues for advanced compute, GPU, networking, and AI hardware platforms.
Lead cross-functional teams to complete NPI PCB programs on time, within budget, and according to technical requirements.
Manage end-to-end technical program lifecycles for high-density-interconnect and high-layer-count PCB builds.
Drive technical decision-making on trade-offs regarding schedule, cost, yield, and development risk.
Review stack-ups, impedance, materials, and panel utilization with suppliers and internal design teams.
Build and maintain detailed program schedules, critical paths, and risk registers.
Resolve schedule, capacity, and blocking issues with PCB suppliers and internal teams.
Track and communicate full-path PCB ordering status and data-driven status updates to executive partners.
Define and monitor metrics for cycle time, timely delivery, yield, and supplier performance.
What we're looking for
10+ years of recent experience as a Project Manager, Materials Manager, or equivalent responsibilities in the NPI field.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Strong technical proficiency in PCB development and manufacturing fundamentals, including stack-up, materials, HDI/HLC processes, DFM, impedance, and panel utilization.
Proven ability to lead geographically distributed cross-functional teams and coordinate with local and offshore suppliers.
Track record of managing multiple concurrent programs with shifting requirements, tight timelines, and critical-path schedules.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills to collect and communicate large amounts of technical and program data.
Practical experience working with SAP PRD and PDP / Windchill or similar PLM / ERP platforms.
Recent experience driving NPI activities on advanced compute, GPU, networking, or AI hardware platforms (preferred).
