TL;DR · NPI PCB Technical Program Manager

As an NPI PCB Technical Program Manager on the OPS Quick Turn PCB Engineering Service Team, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs from concept to production. You will manage end-to-end technical program management for advanced high-density-interconnect and high-layer-count PCB builds, collaborating with engineering, product leaders, and supplier R&D teams. Your daily responsibilities include managing stack-up reviews, DFM, material procurement, and risk mitigation while tracking order status and monitoring metrics like cycle time and yield. You will utilize technical knowledge of CCL, prepreg, and impedance to drive trade-offs regarding cost and schedule. The role requires proficiency in SAP PRD and Windchill or similar PLM/ERP platforms. This position addresses the critical challenge of managing high-complexity PCB manufacturing for advanced compute, GPU, networking, and AI hardware platforms within a fast-paced technical environment.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end technical program lifecycles for high-density and high-layer-count PCB builds from concept to production.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, SI/PI, DFM, and suppliers to meet project timelines and technical requirements.
  • Drive technical decision-making regarding trade-offs between schedule, cost, yield, and development risks for advanced materials.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, critical paths, and risk registers for complex PCB programs.
  • Execute just-in-time risk-buy strategies and resolve capacity or blocking issues with global PCB suppliers.
  • Track and communicate full-path PCB ordering status and data-driven metrics to internal engineering teams and executive leadership.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators such as cycle time, delivery accuracy, and NPI quality.
  • Improve team scalability by refining tools, workflows, and processes based on post-mortem lessons learned.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of recent experience as a Project Manager, Materials Manager, or equivalent in the NPI field.
  • Technical proficiency in PCB development and manufacturing including stack-up, materials, HDI/HLC processes, DFM, impedance, and panel utilization.
  • Proven ability to lead geographically distributed cross-functional teams and coordinate with local and offshore suppliers.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs with shifting requirements and tight timelines while driving risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect and communicate complex technical data to both engineering leaders and executives.
  • Practical experience using SAP PRD and PDP or similar PLM/ERP platforms like Windchill.
  • Preferred experience in advanced compute, GPU, networking, or AI hardware platforms with high-density-interconnect (HDI) and high-layer-count (HLC) PCBs.
