Network Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop, test, and integrate FPGA-focused and networking-focused hardware subsystems.
• Perform HDL design, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and laboratory bring-up for FPGA development.
• Conduct schematic analysis, component selection, and PCB design and layout reviews.
• Design network hardware and physical-layer components including Ethernet interfaces and high-speed digital connectivity.
• Implement network segmentation and data-isolation approaches such as VLANs and subnetting.
• Apply hardware cybersecurity principles including encryption, secure boot, and trusted platform architectures.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and experimental testing to develop corrective actions for hardware issues.

What we're looking for

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Master's degree plus 6 months of relevant experience is required.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, processes, and design tools is required.
• Experience or demonstrated coursework in FPGA/HDL development, digital hardware design, PCB design, networking hardware, telecommunications, or hardware cybersecurity is required.
• Experience with Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, or related FPGA development tools (preferred).
• Experience with commercial networking hardware, telecommunications, semiconductor products, or defense systems (preferred).
