Modeling and Simulation Engineer

What you'll do

• Automate large portions of the industrial engineering role through software and scripts.
• Design and maintain business process automation for comprehensive schedule management across multiple platforms.
• Implement and maintain a single integrated master schedule for the Protofactory.
• Build automated workflows connecting tickets, deliveries, production events, and reporting data.
• Develop advanced simulation models to test scenarios, identify bottlenecks, and optimize production flow.
• Create data pipelines and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into schedules.
• Apply operations research methods like queuing theory and discrete event simulation to planning problems.
• Leverage AI and machine learning tools to accelerate the development of automation systems.

What we're looking for

• Must have an operations research background, degree, or demonstrated expertise in applied math or industrial engineering.
• Must possess software engineering proficiency and the ability to write production-quality code in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
• Must be a digital native comfortable building tools, writing scripts, using APIs, and working in code-first environments.
• Must have experience with simulation techniques such as discrete event, Monte Carlo, or agent-based modeling.
• Ability to translate complex scheduling logic into automated, maintainable systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
