Design and develop core decision-making and autonomy software for autonomous underwater vehicles.
Lead the architecture, implementation, and deployment of navigation and obstacle avoidance logic.
Manage a small team by setting priorities, delegating work, and providing technical mentorship.
Act as the primary technical owner for mission systems including requirements, roadmap management, and customer engagement.
Write and maintain core libraries for frame transformations, targeting, guidance, and communications across all robotics platforms.
Develop and implement processes for the delivery and iteration of payloads and mission systems.
Organize integration events and manage the rollout of major features to the vehicle fleet.
Travel up to 15% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments.
What we're looking for
Strong engineering background in fields such as Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
Experience in system architecture and developing software for embedded and physical devices.
Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization.
6+ years of professional C++ or Rust programming experience in a Linux development environment.
Experience with NixOS and troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
Experience with distributed software platform and application architectures under dynamic network topologies.
Ability to engage with customers to represent technical aspects of products regarding missions and payloads.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
