Support Systems Lead

What you'll do

• Architect and lead the development of a holistic support system for subsea asset maintenance, refurbishment, and mass deployment.
• Act as the primary technical engineer for support systems while recruiting and building out a dedicated team.
• Manage requirements for fielded equipment including handling tools, shipping logistics, and remote monitoring systems.
• Develop strategies for customer training and "train-the-trainer" curricula in a modern technology environment.
• Collaborate with customers to define concepts of employment for large-scale autonomous subsea operations.
• Identify and manage critical infrastructure requirements such as maintenance depots, test sites, and refurbishment facilities.
• Work directly with operators and test teams to design and scope future support and testing infrastructure.
• Own critical interfaces between system elements to deliver a fully integrated end-to-end capability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Marine, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in systems engineering or task leadership roles involving system-level architecture and test infrastructure.
• Strong hardware and mechanical foundation for designing complex physical systems in harsh environments like subsea or marine settings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership and self-starting capabilities.
• Experience building, hiring, and managing technical teams in rapid-growth environments.
• Understanding of unmanned system architectures, reliability, and the physical realities of subsea hardware longevity.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time to customer and test sites.
