Microelectronics Engineer

What you'll do

• Deploy digital investigative tools to support law enforcement in the pursuit of criminals and threat actors.
• Develop, refine, and execute new techniques for recovering digital evidence during lawful investigations.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged electronics to determine functionality or recover user data.
• Perform in-circuit debugging and testing on electronic components.
• Program and read flash memory technologies including NAND, eMMC, and UFS.
• Utilize laboratory equipment such as signal generators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools.
• Document findings and develop detailed procedures for investigative processes.

What we're looking for

• Top Secret clearance is required.
• Experience designing and developing embedded systems or electronics using programmable microcontrollers or FPGAs.
• Experience with flash memory technology including NAND flash, eMMC, or UFS.
• Experience in an engineering laboratory environment using signal generators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience, a Master's degree and 1+ year of experience, or 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering.
• Experience with electronics design, schematics capture, layout, and fabrication is preferred.
• Experience with ARM or RISC-V architectures and Linux/UNIX operating systems is preferred.
