Electronics Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform component selection, schematic capture, and multi-layer PCB design for 4-12 layers.
• Create wiring diagrams for radio wiring harnesses.
• Define PCB stack-up, materials, and design rules to meet performance and manufacturing requirements.
• Validate that new PCB and harness designs meet all specified design requirements.
• Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and root cause analysis using common lab equipment.
• Ensure designs do not produce EMI and remain isolated in high EMI environments.
• Implement digital communication peripherals such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, I2C, and RS232 at the hardware level.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in multi-layer PCB design.
• Experience implementing digital communication peripherals at a hardware level, such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, I2C, and RS232.
• Experience designing power supply circuitry.
• Strong familiarity with test equipment such as DMM, bench top supply, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and spectrum analyzer.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident).
• Experience with Altium Designer (preferred).
• Competency with simulation tools for high speed digital design and power supply design (preferred).
