Mechanical SME

What you'll do

• Serve as the technical authority for complex mechanical systems across hyperscale data centers.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while maintaining critical environment protocols and MOP processes.
• Design and implement cooling solutions and airflow management strategies for high-density server environments.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and lead root cause analysis for system failures or inefficiencies.
• Act as the first point of contact for service-impacting events and provide 24/7 emergency response for mechanical plants.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and integrate green technologies.
• Ensure all operations comply with industry standards like ASHRAE and local safety regulations.
• Mentor a team of technicians while managing infrastructure projects, expansions, and vendor relationships.

What we're looking for

• Must have 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment.
• Must have experience working in data centers or raised floor environments.
• Must possess a Universal EPA 608 Certification.
• Must have CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience.
• Must have 2 years of trades school or a documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and any licenses required by the local authority.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in extreme temperatures.
