Mechanical SME, Data Centers

What you'll do

• Serve as the technical authority for complex mechanical systems across large hyperscale data centers.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while maintaining critical environment protocols and MOP processes.
• Design and implement cooling solutions and airflow management strategies for high-density server environments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all critical infrastructure.
• Lead root cause analysis and provide 24/7 emergency response for service-impacting mechanical events.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and integrate green technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards like ASHRAE and ISO while conducting regular safety audits.
• Manage infrastructure projects, mentor technical teams, and coordinate with equipment vendors.

What we're looking for

• Must have 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair.
• Experience working in data centers or raised floor environments is required.
• Must possess a Universal EPA 608 Certification.
• Must have 2 years of trades school or a documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 80 lbs and working at heights.
• Expertise in one specific craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with building automation systems and fire/life safety (preferred).
