What you'll do

Design and implement custom tooling and equipment for satellite assembly and testing.
Develop and manage tool projects through the entire lifecycle from R&D to production.
Convert technical requirements from various teams into user-friendly, cost-effective systems.
Manage project timelines, resource planning, and cost estimations for manufacturing tools.
Oversee the fabrication, testing, and commissioning of tooling into the manufacturing line.
Perform structural analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and GD&T for complex mechanical systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
1+ years of project management experience including resource planning, scheduling, and reporting.
3+ years of experience with CAD design of complex systems including 3D modeling, drawings, and GD&T.
1+ years of experience in structural analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee/asylee for export control.
Experience with NX 3D modeling and Simcenter 3D FEA simulation is preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design of mechanisms, fixtures, and material handling equipment is preferred.
