Software Engineer Manager

What you'll do

• Manage day-to-day activities and coordinate individual work assignments for the Software Engineering team.
• Lead software design and development efforts to meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Perform code and design reviews while establishing development processes and standards to enhance productivity.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development guidance to team members.
• Develop individual performance goals and deliver formal performance assessments for the team.
• Manage recruitment, hiring, and workforce planning to align with business needs.
• Participate in engineering proposal efforts, including cost estimation and Basis of Estimate development.
• Coordinate with other engineering managers to optimize assignments across the development organization.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering with at least 9 years of engineering development experience.
• A Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience, or at least 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of experience leading and managing engineering personnel.
• At least 6 years of experience in a software development environment.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience with recruiting and hiring technical talent (preferred).
• Experience developing technical and cost volume inputs for proposals (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
