Manager, Sales Engineering

What you'll do

• Coach and mentor Field Sales Engineers to achieve career goals and technical proficiency.
• Lead and participate in technical meetings with customers and C-suite executives.
• Resolve complex customer challenges and manage technical escalations.
• Partner with HR to recruit, hire, and retain top sales engineering talent.
• Provide hands-on technical support and formulate strategies for target accounts.
• Evangelize the Proofpoint security platform to prospects and customers.
• Participate in ongoing technical training alongside the sales engineering team.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Success to ensure customer retention.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 2 years of experience leading sales engineering teams.
• Must have previous experience as a sales engineer (preferred 4-6 years).
• Must have a strong technical background in cyber-security, such as cloud security, network security, or incident response.
• Must have a proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
• Must possess solid sales acumen and the ability to partner with account teams to drive new customer sales.
• Must be able to lead complex technical and business conversations with C-suite executives and technical staff.
• Must be located in Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, or Northern Florida.
• Must have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
