Manager, Systems Engineering

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership for AR rocket propulsion programs involving solid and liquid-based systems.
• Develop, allocate, and document system, subsystem, and component requirements in a requirements database.
• Coordinate requirement verification plans and manage compliance assessments and certifications with integrated product teams.
• Perform functional analysis, conduct system trade studies, and manage project risk and opportunity assessments.
• Manage personnel responsibilities including staffing, skill development, performance evaluations, and work prioritization.
• Direct the development and implementation of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and standards.
• Lead design and implementation of product improvements and affordability activities.
• Report regularly to the SE&I Senior Manager and peer engineering managers on program status.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Minimum of 13 years of related systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in product development for advanced propulsion systems.
• Experience with DOORS or equivalent requirements management software, SysML modeling, and MBSE methods (preferred).
• Coursework in Systems Engineering disciplines and rocket propulsion (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
