What you'll do

  • Oversee the shaping, capture, and execution of all applied research in automation, control, AI, and autonomy.
  • Manage program execution by ensuring project managers are effectively staffing and steering internal investments.
  • Coordinate with business development personnel to align customer demand signals with internal capabilities for program capture.
  • Develop strategies to protect and grow the portfolio of Science and Technology (S&T) research programs.
  • Lead RFI, RFP, IDIQ, or FOPR responses to develop compelling proposal offerings for customers.
  • Perform cost management, variance analysis, and risk management across the autonomy portfolio.
  • Create and deliver technical briefings and presentations for executive leadership and defense customers.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience, or a Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years of related experience.
  • Must possess a Master's degree and 8 years of experience, or a Master of Science in STEM and 7 years of related experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. government Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SAP clearances.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Required experience includes project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and business management functions.
  • Experience must include cost management, variance analysis, staffing, and developing customer relationships within the defense industry.
  • Experience with Agile development or fast-paced research and development is required.
  • Must have experience leading RFI, RFP, IDIQ, or FOPR responses and developing proposal offerings.
