Manager, Live Production CoE

What you'll do

• Oversee the convergence of information technology and broadcast engineering to support live production goals.
• Manage a team by developing performance standards, providing career guidance, and delegating technical tasks.
• Design, build, and automate systems for 24/7 video movement in news, sports, and entertainment environments.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for hardware, networking, and software components.
• Lead long-range project planning, budgeting, and execution while removing obstacles for the engineering team.
• Manage vendor relationships to resolve escalations and drive collaborative product development initiatives.
• Resolve high-priority incidents in ServiceNow and serve as a primary escalation point during major outages.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental workflow and system reliability.

What we're looking for

• A four-year engineering degree or equivalent work experience in live broadcast engineering is required.
• Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in a broadcast environment.
• Proficiency in live broadcasting knowledge and troubleshooting skills is required.
• Understanding of postproduction technical workflows is required.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Experience designing, building, configuring, automating, and maintaining video systems for 24/7 live production environments.
• Proven ability to manage team performance, project planning, budgeting, and vendor relationships.
• Expertise in identifying process improvements and managing incidents within a ServiceNow ticketing system.
