What you'll do

  • Manage day-to-day global live-streaming operations and execute live-focused initiatives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors for transmission planning and event execution.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with satellite, IP transmission, and hardware vendors.
  • Develop and execute technical plans that align with creative and technical objectives.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report audio, video, and infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor and manage cloud-based and hardware-based video infrastructure.
  • Build and evolve ground ingest capabilities for signal acquisition and standardization.
  • Provide on-site support at the Network Operations Center or ground ingest facilities during launch days.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 5+ years of broadcast remote operations experience in a coordination or supervisory role (preferably network level).
  • Must have a strong understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals, compression technologies, distribution formats, and associated technologies.
  • Must have experience with video transport protocols such as SDI, SMPTE-2110, RTP, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, RIST, HLS, and MPEG-DASH.
  • Must have a deep understanding of MVPD-based linear ecosystems and working knowledge of OTT video distribution and contribution technology.
  • Must be able to assess and troubleshoot video and audio quality issues.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours based on live events and travel for scheduled live events.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python), Unix, shell scripting, SQL, and microservices architecture (preferred).
