What you'll do

Lead a multi-team engineering organization to ensure the stability and evolution of global compression and monitoring platforms.
Serve as the primary escalation point for compression operations and live event readiness.
Manage, maintain, and operate all compression technology across the broadcast and IP distribution ecosystem.
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system maintenance and emergency actions.
Establish standardized testing, acceptance, and deployment practices across multiple global regions.
Oversee budget planning and financial management for hardware, software, cloud services, and lifecycle investments.
Manage strategic vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance governance.
Develop training programs to educate staff on compression systems and daily operations.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 5 years of experience in video compression, broadcast distribution, or related engineering disciplines.
Must have at least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams, including managers or senior-level engineers.
Requires deep expertise in MPEG technologies, baseband video/audio/metadata, and IP video transport.
Requires hands-on experience with DigiCipher, PowerVu, Harmonic, or comparable compression systems.
Must possess strong strategic leadership, operational judgment, and executive-level communication skills.
Experience supporting 24/7/365 mission-critical environments with a global scope is required.
Preferred experience includes cloud-based video, hybrid broadcast/streaming workflows, and RF uplink/downlink systems.
Proficiency in design tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or AutoCAD is preferred.
